Our history in the textile industry goes back over three decades, all the way to 1985. Since its inception, our textile division has left an indelible mark on the textile landscape with a wide range of products. Over the years, the entire textile division established the latest cutting-edge technology, backed by research and development and sustainability practices for a better tomorrow. The textile division was built on the foundation of two units, Jay Textile Unit I and Jay Textile Unit II. The Jay Textile Unit I was incorporated as a pilot project with capacity of 14,400 spindles, and the Jay Textile Unit II was accquired with capacity of 31,104. Over the years, the textile division has grown from strength to strength, with a present capacity of 1,05,000 spindles, producing exceptional-quality knitting and weaving yarns preferred by clients across India and abroad for their quality and running efficiency in the downstream processes. We make 25 tons of quality yarn every day, putting SSIL as one of the top quality yarn manufacturers in India.

In knitting, SSIL crafts its yarns for fabrics and garments using best-in-class cotton and artificial fibers. The knitting yarns manufactured by SSIL are made from either the finest Indian cotton or cotton sourced from exotic locations such as Australia, Egypt, or America. This makes us one of the leading cotton yarn suppliers in India. And in the case of man-made fibers, the varieties are modal, micromodal, viscose, etc. Recycled fibers are used in both the natural and artificial segments to sustain a circular economy.

Over the years, the textile division of SSIL has leveraged cutting-edge technologies to produce yarns that elevate fabric craftsmanship to new heights. Materials such as locally grown cotton from regions like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Telangana, as well as imported cotton from the United States, Egypt, and Australia, are utilized in the creation of cotton yarns for production. Additionally, MMFs (Man-Made Fibers) and blended materials are employed to craft premium-quality fabrics.
